In a UK first, our foundation, run by BE Fuel Cards, takes recruits from all walks of life – and of all ages – and puts them through boot camp development programmes in Telephone Sales. Our ‘earn as you learn’ way of doing things means we also pay them while we train them.
Following on from our previous top tips we wanted to share with you a wealth of great advice on how to be a telesales supremo.
Having covered the Attention, Interest, Desire and Action (AIDA) formula on how outbound calls should be well planned and carried out in sequence, below is a breakdown of the Do’s and Don’t’s of a telesales call.

The roaring success of our first ‘learn as you earn’ bootcamp has seen 4 graduates already fast-tracked into full-time positions – with our second wave of 13 recruits due to start our second boot camp.

At the Bayford Foundation we pride ourselves in training people to become top sales people through our pioneering earn as you learn programme. The way that you use your voice during a sales approach can dramatically alter it’s result.
Recruits at the pioneering Bayford Foundation in Hunslet – which is investing up to £5,000 to support long term unemployed on an ‘earn as you learn’ training programme – have been put through their paces during a session with Leeds trainer Darren Rhodes, a former super middleweight boxing championship level fighter.
As part of their 12- week ‘bootcamp’ training programme to equip them with sales and wider life skills, Darren harnessed boxing to teach the recruits the importance of discipline and timing – both of which are critical in selling products and services.
