Since developing our job creation foundation in 2013, we have created and maintained powerful partnerships with organisations including the Princes Trust, the Hunslet Club, Probation Service and the Jobcentre Plus.
Our work with the Princes Trust has seen us recently support the #togetherwecan campaign – an initiative which urges bosses to consider young people from disadvantaged backgrounds – so we were delighted when our very own Nick Elletson was invited to speak a recent Princes Trust event.
The workshop was held at the Gumption Centre in Bradford – where local businesses partners were invited to come along and talk to young people about their career opportunities.
The event was part of the Get into Customer Service course – a two week progression for those seeking work in customer services or contact centres. As well as learning from experts during the two weeks, those who complete the course also receive up to six months support from Prince’s Trust Progression Mentors.
Nick spoke to attendees about the work of the Bayford Foundation and its job opportunities and conducted several 1-2-1 interviews as well as providing the 16-25 year olds with valuable tips and advice on applying for jobs and writing CVs.
Recalled Nick: “The event was a real success – it was great to see so many young people engaging with the activities on offer. They were all really appreciative of the help and advice – and we were pleased to be able to offer 3 candidates a formal interview with The Right Fuelcard Company.
“The Princes Trust is a fantastic organisation and it is always nice to meet the people involved with their projects. They continue to amaze me with their skills and abilities – proving how young people can be an asset to business.”
The day was the second of its kind attended by the Foundation – harnessing our close links with the Trust by utilising our Foundation as a career opportunity. We would like to thank the Princes Trust for including us in their journey to success.
