We’re marking a landmark week where our fab Foundation – spearheaded by our Hunslet based BE Fuel Cards team – has promoted four of our recruits into full time employment – and launched a second bootcamp with thirteen trainees.
Creating dozens of short term jobs and hundreds of long-term career opportunities, we are investing up to £5,000 to put each recruit through our training programme and paying them a salary for the duration. Successful candidates will be awarded a recognised qualification from The University of Derby.
Our first four graduates – who were previously long-term unemployed – are now earning a minimum £16k annual salary with BE Fuel Cards team, with the potential to ramp up their earnings.
Bootcamp recruits hail from wide-ranging backgrounds – some are long-term unemployed and others have previously worked on temporary contracts.
Recruitment is also underway for our third bootcamp – due to start in January 2014. Would-be employees are invited to our offices in Bowcliffe Road, Hunslet on 6 December for two information sessions held at 10.30am and 12.30pm to hear more about the opportunities available.
Foundation leader, June Forsyth, said: “This week marks another milestone in the foundation’s formative development as we celebrate our first graduates progressing to full time roles – and welcome our new recruits.
“Forging partnerships with a wealth of wonderful community organisations is enabling us to unearth some fantastic talent and we look forward to meeting more potential employees – with or without telesales experience – on 6 December.”
Razaquat Hussain, a graduate of the first bootcamp, said: “It’s absolutely brilliant to be in a full-time job with BE Fuel Cards. If someone had said to me a year ago that I would have this opportunity I wouldn’t have believed them – I’m now in the process of buying my own house and life couldn’t be any better!”
