Oh what a week! – An insight from new recruit, Sarah Jordan

It’s been a whirlwind for Sarah Jordan, 26, since starting with The Bayford Foundation as a data cleanser. Despite that, she was able to spare us five minutes to talk about her first week.

A chat with one of our latest trainees about her exciting first week

 

Georgina Watson, 23, is among our latest new recruits to settle into the Foundation. We grabbed five minutes with her to glean an insight into her fast moving first week as a data cleanser with our busy team.

How did you come to be employed by the foundation?

I was introduced by Interserve, which provides skills, education and employment services and works closely with the Foundation. I had an icebreaker chat with Foundation Manager, Nick Elletson, at their offices, then I was invited up to Hunslet for a formal interview with Nick and data inputter, Chantelle Robinson and I was offered the job a week later.

Our fantastic Foundation was officially launched this week by our patron John Turner, and author and motivational speaker, Richard McCann, the son of the Yorkshire Ripper’s first victim, inspired our new recruits, to never give up – no matter what life throws at them.

John, who champions the Bayford Foundation as: “Investing is all about investing in jobs for the future and putting something back into local communities to generate vibrant employment opportunities” cut our royal ribbon in style.
