Our deep rooted ethos to give back to our local communities see us fundraise every Friday, our ‘dress down day’, to Leeds Children’s Charity whose inspirational work brings laughter into the lives of 7-11 from some of the most deprived areas in Leeds.
As a trailblazer of ethical and values-driven recruitment and development, we’re proud to sign up to the government’s inspirational See Potential campaign.
The programme encourages employers to recognise the potential within people – regardless of their background – and to hire from disadvantaged groups. Our first fab award nominations of 2017 have seen The Right Fuelcard Company (TRFC), who runs our Foundation, shortlisted in two categories of TheBusinessDesk Business Masters Awards – Small Business and Employer.
The Small Business award recognises a business in the region that has demonstrated outstanding development and growth in performance. The Employer category celebrates a company that is “great to work for” – which might include a commitment to training and development.
We’re delighted to nominate Leeds Children’s Charity as our adopted charity for another year – because of its inspirational work to bring laughter into the lives of 7-11 year olds hailing from some of the most deprived areas in Leeds.
Our designated charity creates happy childhood memories for the neediest of families, with a fun-filled, week-long break.
Our foundation’s surprise Christmas party was the icing on the cake – and a fantastic way to round off a momentous year for our top team.
The organisers – comprising dynamic duo Nick Dodsworth and Martin Taylor-Hemingway – managed to keep everything under wraps until the big night on Friday the 16th of December.
After guessing (and being wide off the mark!) as to where we were partying and letting our hair down – we all gathered with excitement and anticipation in Leeds city centre when all was revealed. Continue reading →
