We are pleased to announce that The Right Fuelcard Company has been shortlisted for the SME of the year at the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Employability Awards after receiving a nomination from Novus.
The shortlisting comes directly from the work we do on a day-to-day basis through our ongoing commitment to create opportunities for disadvantaged and long-term unemployed jobseekers.
Now in its fifth year, the national Employability Awards showcase and champion best practice across the employment support sector. Covering ten categories, the awards demonstrate the breadth of work involved in supporting people into work.
These range from the adviser working one-to-one with the jobseeker to build their confidence to employers who go the extra mile by adapting their practices to support jobseekers with greater needs.
Ranked 33 in the Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For 2016, TRFC and our Foundation are proud of our strong track record of creating training and career opportunities for people from all walks of life.
Business director, Adam Walsh, says: “This exciting nomination is instrumental in recognising our commitment to helping people from our local community to fulfil their potential. Our ethos and culture is to look beyond individuals’ situation, identify inner talent – then work with them to tap into innate skills and positive behaviors.”
The shortlisting follows hard on the heels of TRFC’s win in the Small Business section of the Yorkshire Business Masters 2017 awards. The business – an independent distributor of Shell, Keyfuels, UK Fuels and Esso fuel cards – also scooped Best Large Company in last year’s The Harrogate Advertiser Series Business awards.
The winners of the Employability Awards will be announced at a special ceremony held in London on 29 June. We’d like to wish the very best of luck to fellow nominees, Clacket Lane Motorway Services and Phoenix Community Housing and a special thanks to Novus for our nomination.
