Our foundation’s surprise Christmas party was the icing on the cake – and a fantastic way to round off a momentous year for our top team.
The organisers – comprising dynamic duo Nick Dodsworth and Martin Taylor-Hemingway – managed to keep everything under wraps until the big night on Friday the 16th of December.
After guessing (and being wide off the mark!) as to where we were partying and letting our hair down – we all gathered with excitement and anticipation in Leeds city centre when all was revealed.
A drinks reception and dinner went down a treat at Headrow House where we savoured scrumptious platters of festive food including gammon, chicken, sausage and roasted vegetables. This was followed by an array of delicious desserts – chocolate and salted caramel brownies, Tiramisu and Eton mess. The second stage of the lively party was held in The Shed Bar where a great night was had by all.
The evening was a wonderful opportunity for everyone from our different offices to meet up and get to know each other better.
It was also an ideal way to celebrate a milestone year which has seen The Right Fuelcard Company (TRFC) which runs our foundation, power into the Sunday Times Best Companies with a number 33 ranking – and awarded a 3 Star Best Companies Accreditation – the highest accolade a company can receive from Best Companies, for “exceptional” levels of employee engagement.
The Sunday Times also recognised our work with our pioneering Bayford Foundation with a prestigious Sunday Times Discovering Potential Award of which we are also very proud.
Additional dynamic developments have seen us mark a series of graduations as employees progressed to the sales team of TRFC, make a BIG media splash – and launch an eye-catching and informative revamped website to keep our training programme’s potential candidates and community partners up-to-date on our vacancies and developments.
As a ‘people champion’ which is committed to developing our employees’ potential and investing in their training and development, we’re always on the lookout for great people to join our training programme which could lead to a full time role with TRFC.
