Our fantastic team is excited to announce more storming awards success!
Just weeks after The Right Fuelcard Company (TRFC), which runs our foundation, scooped Best Large Company at the Harrogate Advertiser Series Business Awards, our business director, Adam Walsh, has been shortlisted in the IoD Yorkshire & North East Director of the Year Awards 2016.
Adam – the driving force behind many of our greatest successes since taking up his role of business director in September 2013 – is in the final line up of the Institute of Director’s Young Director of the Year category for entrants under the age of 42, with ‘outstanding achievements’ under their belt.
Recognising ‘the very best of the best’, the awards celebrate and recognise outstanding leadership in the boardroom. The high calibre of all the applications makes Adam’s nomination all the more impressive, with regional director for Yorkshire and the North East, Natalie Sykes, saying: “This year the competition was fierce, which makes you a winner in your own right having made the long-list and now the short-list. Congratulations!”
Adam’s string of achievements include being instrumental in achieving our IiP accreditation, being ranked 34 in the Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For, expanding to a new satellite sales office in Harrogate and opening another office in York in less than 12 months; boosting our team from 19 to 55 – and increasing our fuel card offering.
Prior to his current position, Adam was marketing and sales manager of Be Fuelcards. He then took a career break, ticking two activities off his bucket list – a cycling adventure from Bangkok through Thailand and Cambodia to Saigon, and an Ironman triathlon – before embarking on his current position with TRFC.
The winners of the IoD regional awards will be announced on 30th June at Leeds Civic Hall, home to the Lord Mayor of Leeds. BBC business correspondent Danni Hewson will host the event where international sensation Beverley Savarin will perform.
Regional category winners will automatically go forward to the UK finals held in London later in the year and we wish Adam and all the other finalists the very best of luck.
Says Adam: “I’m delighted and truly honoured to have made the shortlist for such a prestigious awards ceremony, and would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the whole team – our achievements would not have been possible without their support and dedication to our goals.”
We’re always recruiting great people to join us as we continue to go from strength to strength. For more information on job opportunities available with The Bayford Foundation and The Right Fuelcard Company, visit http://www.bayfordfoundation.co.uk or call 0113 202 5129.
