Tomorrow, the anxious wait for hundreds of thousands of students will be over as they collect their A Level results.
With celebrations for some, and disappointment for others, results day marks the next turning point in the lives of A Level students as they decide whether university is the right choice for them, whether to start their career immediately – or to take a gap year.
With rising tuition fees it was predicted many students would opt against university life –however this year university admissions are set to top the 500,000 mark for the first time.
And some employers have begun to offer incentives to encourage school leavers to go straight into the workplace – recent statistics show workplace apprenticeships are fast becoming as competitive as university places.
Our pioneering foundation is another option to consider as it provides top level training and the opportunity of a great job at the end of it.
So far 15 trainees have graduated through our paid 8 week intensive programme which provides training in sales with all progressing to permanent positions with one of our fuel card companies.
Here’s what some recent foundation graduates have to say about the enjoyment and benefits of our ground-breaking programme.
“At Bayford it is fantastic to meet a variety of people from different backgrounds” – Matt Taylor, Bayford Foundation graduate.
“Everyone is really friendly and we all worked together as a great, supportive team. It’s an excellent place to be, the minute you come inside the door – it’s going to make a difference.” – Chantelle Robinson, Bayford Foundation graduate.
Less than a year after launching the foundation, we were thrilled to be shortlisted in the Adult Learners Week Awards which celebrates lifelong learning amongst employees.
Stay tuned for some exciting new developments we have in store for Bayford with even more opportunities for ambitious young people.
Good luck to all A Level students tomorrow!
