The last four months have been momentous since we launched our job creation foundation with author and motivational speaker, Richard McCann, who inspired our new recruits, to never give up – no matter what life throws at them.
In the 2013 year end countdown we want to thank and celebrate our fantastic partners who have been instrumental in helping us to fulfil our goals of investing in jobs for the future and putting something back into local communities to generate vibrant employment opportunities.
Since then the club has also partnered with our bootcamp recruits to host a training session with Darren Rhodes , a former super middleweight boxing championship level fighter. Darren harnessed boxing to teach the recruits the importance of discipline and timing – both of which are critical in selling products and services.
The Probation Service has played a key role in helping us to source candidates via non-traditional routes. Provided by 35 trusts across the UK, probation services are responsible for overseeing offenders released from prison on licence – and those on community sentences made by judges and magistrates in the courts. We are proud to be partnering with them.
The Princes Trust has likewise recommended unemployed candidates to our foundation through the great work that they do. Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training and The Princes Trust help to address this by giving practical and financial support to young people who need it most. Working with them gives us wider access to a range of candidates in order to reach out to long term unemployed.
An enormous thank you to our partners and their teams as we look forward to further developing the valued relationships we have forged with them throughout 2014.
